Geek And Tell begins with video games, because Brad’s got Bioshock for the PS3 and a funny story picking up Fable 2. Glenn’s picked up Far Cry 2, and recreated the Lost island. Everyone’s still jamming with Rock Band 2, and Adam’s got the new drums. We move into movies, as the PodCulture couple has the special edition of Iron Man on blu-ray, spawning a discussion about casting, speculaion about story, and news about future Iron Man films. They’ve also got the second (short) season of Heroes on blu-ray.  Christina has scored tickets for the tour of the Broadway production of Wicked. Speaking of things green, Glenn talks about The Hulk on dvd. He’s also got Journey To The Center of the Earth in 3D, Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer, the Nightmare on Elm Street movie set, Freddie vs. Jason, Feast 2, Hannibal, The Happening, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

In music, Glenn’s got the new Pink album. Brad’s got the Stargate DHD application, and Christina’s got the School of Rock application from the iTunes store.

He’s also got a plethora of new Green Lantern figures, including the Crisis Black Hand and Sinestro. Glenn and Ben are exercising restraint, and Scott makes a great find on a First Appearance Blue Beetle figure. The group talks about Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, and foreign languages in comic books.

While the PodCulture studios were sans power, Brad picked up books! Firstly, he and Christina REALLY loved the audio drama from Torchwood, called Lost Souls. He’s added to the BBC shelf with “Twilight Streets” and “Something In The Water” from Tochwood, and “Snowglobe 7″, “The Many Hands”, and “Martha In The Mirror” from Doctor Who. On the comic geek side, he’s got DC’s Showcase Presents: Green Lantern Volume 3, Justice League of America: Exterminators, Star Trek New Frontier: Gods Above, Ghosts of Yesterday and the novelization of Transformers the movie, both by Alan Dean Foster. Adding to the comic fodder, he’s also got a Witchblade combo novel, including Talons and Terrible Beauty, and volumes 2 and 3 of the Witchblade graphic novel.

Guess what? Brad’s got Transformers! He’s got Prowl from Transformers Universe, a DC Universe Firestorm figure, Battlestar Galactica classic, and Green Lantern Mini Mates. He’s also got a Hal Jordan DC Universe figure, and a Little Mermaid cup from Best Buy.

Christina’s got a Martian Manhunter figure from The Batman series and a Wicked shirt. She’s got happy feet with two pairs of Halloween socks from her friend, Celeste, and a pair of Scotland socks from her friend, Carol. Glenn’s added a very swank Punisher shirt to his collection. Adam’s got a Stargate SGC shirt from ThinkGeek.com

Geek Cuisine rocks October with Brachs caramel candy corn!

Glenn’s still working on his house, Adam did the Heart Walk for The American Heart Association, and Christina’s broken her hand. Brad got the early bird Rock Band 2, but mother nature sought to delay him.

Brad and Glenn both had birthdays in September, and both got booty! Glenn got money, and Carly gave him much-needed poster frames. He would like to buy the Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk games for the 360. Christina gave Brad a laser cut Green Lantern crystal, a shirt that reads, “Half Man, Half Koala”, and Doctor Who toys including the Doctor from Partners in Crime, Donna Noble, and the Utopia gift set.

Beware! Halloween is coming! This week, our geeks try Chocolate Caramel Candy Corn from Brachs.

Glenn is watching the seventh season of Smallville, and has finished the first season of Supernatural. The group talks about how Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki interact with each other. Brad and Christina are watching Smallville, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Heroes. If you wish to remain SPOILER FREE, skip from between the time marker of 36:00 until the 52:00 time mark. Christina wants to see Lost in Austen, and Glenn has enjoyed The Lost Room, which spurs the discussion of the transformation of The Sci-Fi channel. There’s discussion of Lost, Stargate Atlantis, and Sanctuary.

After a marathon crash month of catching up with all things Stargate, Adam is up to date, and we’re debriefing. We all agree to liking Continuum more than Ark of Truth, and that it took some time to embrace Stargate Atlantis. We discuss the pros and cons of each show, and how Atlantis began to morph into SG-1. Christina likes John Sheppard more than Cameron Mitchell. Who likes Carson better than Jennifer? Teal’C vs Ronon? We talk about our hopes for the characters before the end of the series, including Robert Picardo’s Woolsey.

In the second part, Adam’s seen the mid-season cliffhanger episode and we discuss it, so if you want to avoid spoilers, STOP LISTENING at the point Walter says, “Unauthorized incoming transmission from SGL!”

We’re still wading though Dragon Con souvenirs, and Brad’s got books! Stargate Atlantis “Mirror Mirror”, Stargate SG:1 “Roswell”, Stargate SG:1 “Do No Harm”, Sherilynn Kenion’s “Seize The Night”. They’ve got CDs, Christina’s favorite being “Like A Waterfall” by James Marsters. Brad’s got The Brobingagian Bards’ “Holy Grail of Irish Drinking Songs”, Mark Gunn’s “Whiskers In The Jar”, “Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers” and “Irish Drinking Songs: The Cat Lover’s Companion”. The pair have a Chicago 2005 dvd of Wicked. Brad’s now the owner of a set of Green Lantern shot glasses from StylinOnline. “Planet Hulk” and “Young Avengers” hardback collections have made their way onto Brad’s shelf, and Glenn’s got Next Avengers on DVD. Christina picked up a present for Brad’s birthday, and he’s picked out a full-sized replica of the Sword of Omens from Thundercats. Christina got herself some shiny in the form of a glass earth pendant and a replica of the Tardis key. Glenn’s got the new Coldplay cd “Viva La Vida”.

While Brad and Christina were at Dragon Con, Glenn has been playing Soul Calibur 4 and working on his house.

Glenn has picked up Heroes season 2 on dvd, is all caught up in time for the season premiere, and has also obtained Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Supernatural. We are split down the middle about whether or not we’re looking forward to the series opener of Smallville. Brad and Christina are catching up with Stargate Atlantis, and she is looking forward to Life On Mars. Glenn is excited about Fringe, Dollhouse and the rumored “worst science fiction movie ever” Babylon A.D.

Our Geek Cuisine is the 80’s “pop”culture favorite, Pop Rocks.

The Dragon Con shopfest was tamer than last year. Brad has brought home three new koalas, and the halloween kitty from Build A Bear. The pair got autographs from Cliff Simon, Gareth David Lloyd, Nathan Fillion, Jewel Staite and Morena Baccarin. Although he wasn’t there, a Derek Jacobi’s autograph came home with them, too. Christina is now the happy owner of a Robert Lewellyn autograph, and even happier to say how lovely he was. Brad has also picked up two Serenity ornaments, and Christina has found the scarecrow action figure from Doctor Who. Glenn has got a Beowulf figure from Spawn.

Christina’s favorite things of the weekend were panels for Torchwood and Firefly. Gerry enjoyed the Battlestar panel and Mark loved winning a Parsec, and meeting fellow podcasters. Miranda won’t forget Nathan and Alan playing with her iRiver, and Laura enjoyed the many Doctor Who costumes. Brad and Christina enjoyed the Podcast Peer Awards ceremony.

Speaking of costumes, we all had favorites. Miranda found Lost’s Hugo, Cousin Jean enjoyed the “How I Met Your Mother” Robin Sparkles, Gerry loved the Iron Men and the Ghostbusters, Mark explains steam punk and tells us about Doctor Steel. Brad admired the Green Lantern Corps and Christina loved the “jammies and sword” Doctor Who. Laura was followed by a Middle Earth tree, and bought some beautiful Jason Palmer prints.

Geek Cuisine on the road is Violet Crumbles, and out of the entire room of podcasters, Brad and Christina are the only ones who like it.

Brad’s now ticking the “Mac Curious” demographic box, and Christina got to be Donna Noble for a bit, while he bought an old iMac 3G pc on eBay. Glenn’s gotten some new phone swag himself, and tells us about Magic Jack.

We indulge our sweet teeth with Hershey Kisses Cookies & Cream. Should white chocolate be considered “real” chocolate? What do you think?
