Welcome to PodCulture 197!
Glenn opens, exhausted from the hours he has spent in the helicopter, and not having had time to geek as usual. Adam is due for another day off, but he is working hard. Christina had a week of long commutes, so she, too, hasn’t had time for her usual nerdery. She shares the story of the crazy short bus driver, and Glenn shares the trend of traffic accidents. She is absolutely bouncing off the walls, holding her breath, awaiting her copy of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Love Never Dies” on Tuesday. Brad breaks the news that the
PodCulture studio may be moving. So if you have any tips for moving gobs of geekness, e-mail us!

Glenn gets the guilt on. In readiness for Sharktopus, he reviews Roger Corman’s Battle Beyond The Stars. From John Boy from The Waltons and a villan name John Saxon, he weaves a tale of cheesy effects that have gone on to play cameos in future sci-fi gems.
In the second contest to celebrate our bicentennial anniversary episode, the fine folks at Farpoint Media gave us a copy of Planet Hulk on dvd, and it could be yours! Don’t forget to e-mail us your name and address so we know where to send the green guy when you win!

Welcome back, Geeky Little Monkeys!
Christina opens this week’s geekanalia with Geek Cuisine. She shares the sweetness of her family’s Valentine’s Day traditions as well as the new flavors of Conversation Hearts. She has since researched Sweetest Day, and apologizes for blaming American Greetings.

Adam is still loving Star Trek Online, and the guys talk about the rhymes and reasons why they name their characters and ships the things they do.
Christina comes back just in time to close, as they discuss the drawbacks of footie pajamas. She shares the story of The Ghosts of Ex-Girlfriends Past that she got to experience with Brad. Adam says to try out a new video game and Christina reminds you to call our voicemail line and wish us a happy 200th. Our promo this week comes graciously from the great guys from the Sofa Dogs Podcast.

Christina is called on to begin this week’s episode of PodCulture and she is all tapped out of geek for the moment. Glenn leads the boys off with lamenting the airing of the Olympics putting all of his favorite shows on a break. Adam has been animating, and earning Commander rank in Star Trek Online, when he hasn’t been at work. Glenn is giving his wings a workout in Aion and making more progress watching Charmed. Christina continued her streak of un-Valentiney Valentine’s Days, but enjoyed her company. Adam spent “Singles Awareness Day” making dinner for family and putting on his Sunday clothes for Wall-E. Glenn eagerly awaits the Aion expansion while he works his wings off during ratings month. Speaking of updates, Brad and Adam are appreciating all the great work going into Star Trek Online. Adam is putting his own hard work in on The Bellflower project. Glenn has picked up MAG, comparing it somewhat with Battlefield: Bad Company, and the guys discuss multiplayer games. Brad brings up the multiplayer issues, and bad respawn points, in Star Trek Online, as well as the good and bad voice work in the game.
Wouldn’t you like to be a pepper, too? Our Geek Cuisine this week is Heritage Dr. Pepper, and Thomas Kemper’s Orange Cream Soda gets an honorable mention.
Don’t forget to enter The Planet Hulk dvd contest! Send us your e-mail and mailing information and you could win! Besides, you wouldn’t like us when we’re angry.
We review Zombieland. From Columbus to Tallahassee, all the way to Wichita, and back to the place where everybody knows your name, we discuss the best and grossest parts of the movie. Find out how it compares to the Left 4 Dead games, and if it pales in comparison to Shaun of the Dead, or leaves it in the dust. Glenn shares another Woody Harrelson gem, Defendor.
We close with Christina’s excitement over tickets to see Wicked when it comes back to town, and Glenn’s run in with the law at the store.
Remember, faithful listeners, to share in our 200th episode. Call us and wish us a happy birthday, send us email or mp3!

Strap on your hats, girls and geeks! We’ve got an explosion of non-stop randomness!
Adam opens the show with his misadventures going to see the shuttle Endeavor launch. From humble beginnings in an old abandoned church to freezing in Florida, he has a set of unforgettable memories, even if none of those involve the actual shuttle launch. We discuss the loss of the space program, while Brad and Glenn talk about Jerry Doyle’s podcast and politics.
Glenn is working hard, but he has found time to watch the mid-season finale of Fringe. Christina lets him in on the latest show in-joke. He has caught up with Vampire Diaries, and is making his way through his revisit of Charmed.
Christina is hopelessly in love with The IT Crowd. (If she’s wrong about who sent us the dvds, please let her know, and she will most humbly apologize). She also started watching The Inbetweeners, and hopes she’s wrong in her unpleasant first impression.
Brad shares the nightmare of the bathroom ceiling exploding…again…! The gang discuss the general suckiness of Valentine’s Day, and the perils of living in a usually unplowed neighborhood in the winter. Brad begins the story of going to Gamestop, while Christina teases the boys with a line from Coupling. He shows off the extra spiffy version of Bioshock 2. The gorgeous art deco style art, the eerie music, and truly original gameplay make it ingeniously entertaining for the player and anyone watching.
Adam and Brad are still working their way up the ranks in Star Trek Online, and are enjoying the ever expanding array of worlds and
updates. Adam shares the story of how the game explains the evolution in the look of the Klingons.
Glenn is back in to the breech of World of Warcraft, and he shares all the Valentine’s Day themed extra surprises that the game offers. He has been taking advantage of the double XP weekend in Aion. He is enjoying the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier game, and the access to the online beta with Splinter Cell. They’re looking forward to Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Adam shares that they’ve played the Firefly theme song on the international space station, which reminds Christina how much she hates spoilers. Brad adds that Sam Trammel has been added to the Dragon Con guest list!
In closing, don’t forget to enter PodCulture’s Planet Hulk dvd contest! Email us your name and address, and we’ll announce the winner on our 200th episode!

And then there were three. Brad, Glenn and Christina are Adamless for this week’s episode.
Christina gets home just in time to join the boys, and despite the craptastic work week, she has made time for new tv shows. Glenn is keeping up with Fringe, Heroes, Vampire Diaries and playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2. He is looking forward to the Aliens vs Predator demo to play, and enjoying the cornucopia of stuff to watch and game. Derby season is approaching, so he’s getting as much in as he can. Brad has been incommunicado since the first of the month, playing the hell out of Star Trek Online. He tells the tales of the the unique little unlockables from Del Taco and the Next Generation dvd set.
Brad unveils a new contest! Thanks to the fine folks at Farpoint Media, PodCulture gives away a copy of the Marvel Animated dvd, Planet Hulk! To win, e-mail us at Contest@PodCulture.net with your name and address by March 12, 2010. The winner will be announced on PodCulture’s 200th Episode!
Adam is back for Geek Cuisine! We’ve got Chocolate Smarties! No, no, not the UK “M&M” kind of Smarties. The American tart treat gone chocolate!
BONG! Brad, Glenn and Christina talk about the two hour tour, the season premiere of Lost! SPOILER ALERT! We leave no stones unturned and no subs unexploded, so if you’ve missed your flight on Oceanic 815 (and you wish to remain unspoiled) skip from the 21 minute mark to the 48 minute point. They unravel theories, discuss hypotheses, and get their brains scrambled a la Daniel Faraday. Brad puts his Trekkie hat on to discuss timelines, Glenn brings up gaping plot holes, and Christina is happy simply to see Desmond. You all everybody! Tell us what you think! What do you want to happen? What are your theories?
Guilt’s keen eye is turned to the gang, as Glenn brings us Hawk the Slayer! He describes the “low budget Lord of the Rings”, including Jack Palance as the evil brother, and the young and disturbingly handsome John Terry (better known to Lost fans as Christian Shephard) as the good guy. It’s available on Netflix, and oh, yes, they’re making a sequel!
In closing, they wish Adam a fantastic trip full of great stories! Christina asks everyone….yes, you…and tell your friends! PodCulture is turning 200! Call our voicemail (or send us an MP3 or e-mail) and wish us a happy birthday. We’ll play it on the show and share your favorite moments from the past four years. Tell us about your favorite (or grossest) Geek Guisine, worst Guilty Pleasure, or coolest toys!
Promos come from The Dollhouse Podcast and Babylon 5 Podcast.

The boys open this show without Christina, but she’ll be back! Get comfy on the couch, ladies and gents, because it’s been a tv-watching marathon!
Glenn talks about the movie Whiteout, and the difficulties he has has finding it on dvd.
When Christina returns, Glenn begins our tv show segment with Vampire Diaries. As much as Christina loves all things Vamp, she still needs convincing. He’s sill keeping up with Supernatural and Fringe, and finally picked up True Blood on dvd. Which team are you on? Christina is firmly planted in Ericland. He has also picked up the game Gamer, Final Destination 3-D and Pandora. During Pandora, he sees a trailer for Law Abiding Citizen. Christina has finished The Tudors and eagerly awaits the next season. She shares the greatness of Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Sarah Bolger. Her find of the week is BBC’s Casanova, starting David Tennant. She totally squees over this Whoapalooza of characters, and appreciates the modernly artistic views on costumes. Speaking of Who, Brad and Christina are watching Law & Order: UK, and love spotting the Whovian actors. They’re also keeping up with Castle, and enjoying the new seasons of Being Human and Survivors. The latter is the series based on the story by Terry Nation, and the pair marvel at the amount of storytelling done in each and every episode. The pair discuss Sanctuary, and Christina still thinks that Robin Dunne looks like he could play Spike’s little brother. Christina finds an article about undiscovered gems of tv, and is looking forward to finding The Inbetweeners. Brad and Adam discuss Dollhouse, and anticipate how it will end. Christina enjoys Topher and Enver Gjokaj’s portrayal of him all the more. Glenn, Brad and Christina take a moment to talk about Heroes, and the story lines that have died and been altered over the seasons. Brad went to the comic shop on Wednesday, and has picked up The Supernatural and Jericho comics.
We’ve channel changed enough, so tell us what you’re watching! What should we hunt down, and what should we run away from?
In closing, the guy still try to get Glenn to pick up Star Trek: Online, and Adam asks for new things that we’d enjoy.

Their phasers are set to “awesome” this week. Get ready for Star Trekking across the internet!
Adam opens this week with his busy week at work and playing the Star Trek beta. Glenn is caught up with shows that are now back from their break. They’re loving Chuck, Supernatural, and Christina is hopelessly in love with Walter on Fringe. The boys eagerly await Lord of the Rings on blu-ray, and Christina is enjoying the Fringe bloopers. Glenn isn’t ready Prestige again in Modern Warfare 2. Christina has had her fill of the long days at work, and had a most bogus experience at the hospital. Glenn hasn’t been able to fly because of the fog, which leads Adam and Christina to geek about the gorgeously English weather.
Brad and Adam (and Christina, a little bit) have been playing the ghe’tor out of the Star Trek Online beta. Glenn and Adam try to convince Christina to watch all the movies, and she concedes for the love of Stewart and Nimoy. Both Adam and Brad have pre-ordered it through Steam, and discuss the extra goodies it will include. Being a total MMO noob, Brad is learning the ropes via the Star Trek ranks. Adam finds out the multiplication properties of Tribbles, and Christina still thinks they should be used as currency. Adam has played the beta for Star Wars Galaxies and the Lord of the Rings MMO, as well as having dabbled mildly in World of Warcraft. In his geek-honored opinion, he worries about interface issues, but looks forward to how the game will grow. They talk about some of the funnier glitches, and some of the nods to cannon characters. Despite being a World of Warcraft genius, Glenn has not signed up for the Starfleet. He and Adam talk game mechanics, and he sways toward picking it up. Christina knows nowt of Star Trek beyond the appreciation of Julian Bashir hotness and Troi hair envy. Still, she enjoys the gorgeous graphics, and enjoyed dipping her toe into the pool of character creation. Brad talks about his character’s visit to Deep Space 9, and they all look forward to future updates. Brad talks about the various subscription packs and options. What do you think? Would you take the chance on a lifetime subscription to a MMO? Give Christina suggestions for a hobby now that Brad will be warping to sector Trek now!
In closing, the quartet is coming down from sugar highs, and Christina is ready to hit the sack. Her final thought asks for good things to watch, asks for book suggestions to listen to on her daily commutes. Glenn talks about WoW and Jeeves, and the gang tries talk him into signing up for Star Trek Online. Adam entreats us to watch Chuck, and Christina geeks a bit about the Chuck app for the iPhone.

The boys open the show without the token geek girl, but she’ll be back soon enough.
Christina returns just in time for Glenn to get his Guilt on. He brings us The Howling 2, and Brad researches The Howling 6 with marsupials. Are there were-koalas? Christina likens it to the were-animals in the Sookie Stackhouse universe.
