I just went to edit the next couple of PodCulture eps……only to discover that the audio is total CRAP! Something must have gotten bumped setting-wise and I didn’t notice during recording. I’m gonna do my best to salvage, but fair warning dear listeners…..….eps 102 and 103 are NOT going to sound near as nice as our normal episodes.

I know that everyone is their own worst critic, and maybe it really isn’t as bad as I make it out to me. However I do know that the next two episodes are not up to the standards I normally strive for, and because of that I am really sorry.

We live and learn, and I guess this is one of those times we learn the lesson the hard way.

Hey gang,

As some of you guys may nave noticed the past couple of days there have been problems with downloading episodes of the show. (and the slow loading of the sites) The place that hosts PodCulture, The GeekSpin and a LOT of the other Farpoint Media shows had a switch quit working. New hardware is on order and should be installed by the end of this weekend.

In the meantime the number of connections that can be made to the server is limited, so please keep checking back as you WILL be able to download episodes, however it may take several tries. There are a couple of options if anyone should want to try them:

A. Try downloading again later…system may work then.

B. Try downloading via iTunes, (or another podcatcher) sometimes they cache the files and you may be able to get a copy thru them, or

C. ping me on Skype (username: PodCulture) and I can manually send you the file.

I apologize for any problems you are having, and thank you for sticking with us thru these pesky issues that pop up now and again.

Just wanted to make a quick post that there will be a slight delay on episode 82. (it should only be a day or so maybe) I’ve been crazy busy with stuff for the “real job” and a few other things as well. Toss a sore throat and cold on top of that, and you’ve got one tired podcast editor! So if you guys don’t mind I’m going to take it easy tonight, and (hopefully) get some extra rest. I plan on having the show ready to go tomorrow evening….so get ready to get your geek on then!

Sorry to tell y’all this, but due some circumstances beyond my control episode 67  of PodCulture will be delayed a bit.  It seems that the new system we are using to publish and host the files is having some minor glitches.  Hopefully this will be at most a single day delay, and you’ll have another dose of geeky goodness ASAP.

PS: I’m also starting to feel a bit under the weather as well.

Just a quick FYI. There will be a day or two extra delay on getting Episode 22 out for you guys. We have it recorded, but I’ve been hit with a very wicked migraine today, and I won’t be able to put the show together for you guys until it dies down a little more. Hopefully I’ll have the sucker licked and I’ll be able to get the show out for you all tomorrow evening. I’m sorry for any inconvienience this causes anyone.

Starting with Episode 15 we will shoot for releasing the new episodes on a Monday or Tuesday night rather than the Saturday or Sunday nights we have done in the past. Since we record the show every other week, this move will effectively give me an extra weekend to edit and “tweak” the show a bit more.

And on that note……

The audio quality for Episode 15 will be a bit rough in some places. We recorded the show in a slightly different location that our other shows, and we tried a few experiments during the recording process as well. Some things turned out OK, some other things…….well not so much. Please bear with us, even with the rough patches, we think you’ll really like what we have on tap for you!

Also one last thing before I’m a total jerk and forget to say something: a THANK YOU. Goes out to the folk who sent us in audio comments, and recordings for the show….it’s folk like you who keep us doing what we do.

Finally MASSIVE, SPECIAL thanks to Stuart Duncan (the guy that does our fantaboulous iTunes artwork) He was awsome, and mailed us several very cool posters will all kinds of geek stuff on them. Thanks Stuart….they will look quite shiny haning on the studio walls!
