In the second half of the hallowgeeky special Christina summons her DS and talks about Scribblenauts. She gives an
example of a level, the crazy ways you can get through it, and some of the awesome easter eggs.
Jolly Rancher’s watermelon and green apple sodas make up our Geek Cuisine liquid refreshment. Are they as delicious as they sound? Oh, yes! We request our listeners to come up with a recipe for a Sonic Screwdriver.
The Halloweeny goodness continues with Baskin Robbins soft candies. We try a scoop of mint chocolate chip and a scoop of very berry strawberry. What goes horribly wrong with these? Who has got ninja reflexes, and who has got zombie reflexes? Who of us finds these candies tricks and not treats?
In closing, Christina poses the question to the boys, “What would you dress up as this year?”. Adam throws around the idea of zombie Billy Mays, and Throat Beard The Pirate. In reality, he’ll be going as Doctor (10) Who. Christina would be Sarah Jane Smith. Glenn and Brad decline to answer, and Christina suggests Sylvester McCoy for the latter. Glenn is just looking forward to going home to play Aion, and declines signing up for Champions. Adam thrills over the Halloween
episode of Castle, with its ultimate Firefly homage! Christina has spotted Morena Baccarin in viral ads online for “V”. Glenn reminds us to keep watching Supernatural!
Our scary songs this episode come from Insane Ian (featuring The Stacey) with “Umbrella Chronicles”, The Great Luke Ski with “Gory Gory Hallelujah”, Kim the Comic Book Goddess with “The Zombie Connection”, and Tom Smith with “When This Song Is Over You Will Die”.

Glenn has watched Stargate Universe, and despite Christina’s love of Robert Carlyle, opinions are varied. Adam is working hard and canoeing, and Ashlee kept afloat at the Titanic Exhibit and enjoyed the Great Big Sea concert. Christina had a bummer of a week at work, but Glee is cheering her up. Not ever one to be outdone, Brad gives us the highlights of his sucktacular week.
Lock the ninth chevron, we’ve got a mini Stargate Louisville segment, discussing Stargate Universe in a bit more depth. We cover the first two-part episode. Is it just a megamashup of Battlestar Galactica and Stargate? (not to mention Star Trek Voyager) Are they trying to cash in on former successes? Were the cameos by SG-1 characters great or gratuitous? Does it merely need time to go through the growing pains of Stargate Atlantis? Does everyone need Dramamine from all the flash forwards/flash backs? Let us know what you think?
PodCulture supports Breast Cancer Awareness month, with this week’s Geek Cuisine; enjoying the special pink ribbon edition of Mike’s Hard Pink Lemonade.
Ashlee is playing Left 4 Dead, and they debate whether it is cool to sell expansion levels to already pricey games. Brad is tempted by the South Park Lets Go Tower Defense game on the XBox Live Arcade. Adam is playing Beatles Rockband, and Ashlee berates Brad for his Halo: ODST skills. Glenn has finished ODST in “normal” mode, is loving Aion, and looking forward to Modern Warfare. Check the closet for pods, because Glenn has NOT been playing World of Warcraft. He is playing Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and reminisced about his growth as a FPS player. Brad is anticipating the Star Trek MMO. Ashlee has been working through inner demons, playing Resident Evil. Christina is coming up with gold from her AppMiner app on her iPhone, enjoying the random programs and games she has found. Speaking of phones, Glenn has got his eye on the HTC HD 2. Ashlee shares the timey-wimey Google Earth 5. Brad has got the zombie teddy bear from Epic Pet Wars, and has beaten iDigit. Ashlee questions the addiction to Cafe World on Facebook. Christina has complained to the makers of Pocket Farm for the iPhone because it keeps rebooting her progress. Christina opens this episode with her discussion of True Blood, the series, and compares it to the first novels in the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. Adam, being the only other Culture Crew member who’s seen the entire series thusfar, shares his insight. There are minor spoilers, but nothing that would impede enjoyment of the novels! Adam agrees in the distaste for Anna Paquin, and the love of the character Jessica. Christina is firmly in Eric’s camp, and laments the loss of Tara, but not in the way you’d expect. Brad isn’t a fan of the series whatsoever, but Christina shares a tidbit about the books that may get him interested. Ashlee isn’t certain she wants to delve into the series before she reads the books. What do you do? If you know that a series is based on a novel, do you read it first, or watch it first? Let us know!
Ashlee takes the reigns and lets us know that while she’s caught up with Better Off Ted and the season premiere of Castle, she’s behind on Big Bang Therory. Brad isn’t as impressed with the sophomore season of Castle so far, and they discuss the story arc involved. Adam lets us know that Nathan Fillion continues a Twitter account in character as Richard Castle. Are there characters or celebrities that you follow?
Brad and Christina have discovered, and fell in love with, Warehouse 13. Adam is finishing up the second gig of Ghost In The Shell and Christina is giggly about Glee.
At the theater, Adam is looking forward to Zombieland. Ashlee and Christina are eagerly awaiting The Princess and The Frog. Brad begins the discussion about who is, and who isn’t, “technically” a real princess. Christina brings up the matricidal issues of the Disney movies, and Brad brings up the fact that they’ve now bought the Marvel empire.
There be geekin’ and there be tellin’. Ashlee brought her Ice mask from David Mack’s store, which she will transform into a Kabuki mask. Brad shows of his cd from the group The Browncoats at Dragon Con. Meanwhile, Adam drooled over the Serenity model at the Quantum Mechanix booth at the Con. At the same booth, Brad picked up a Fruity Oaty Bar lithograph. Later on, he found a Jennifer Keller action figure from Stargate: Atlantis. Speaking of QMX, Brad received the Jayne “Little Damn Heroes” maquette. It wouldn’t be a Geek And Tell if Brad didn’t have Transformers! This time, though , they’re in the odd form of Mighty Muggs! Christina bought him two geek shirts for his birthday. One being the Tardis vs. Delorean t-shirt from Woot.com, and the other being the Con exclusive Green Lantern “Will” shirt from the Blackest Night series, from StylinOnline.com. Ashlee tells us about the scary Galaxy Empire figures she found at the Peddler’s Mall.
In closing, Glenn’s watched Creepshow 3 on Netflix, and says “Don’t do it!”. Okay, listeners. This is Glenn. When Glenn says not to watch something, does it scare you, or make you all the more curious? Christina’s final thought is for everyone to watch the BBC series Black Books. Adam says, “Watch Castle and Big Bang Theory!” Ashlee may be off to the great white Washington State, but we shan’t let her be totally free of our geek madness! Brad closes, imploring is to play Halo 3 and to watch the Joss-tastic Dollhouse!
