Get ready…get set…get guilty! Glenn brings us Big Bad Wolf for this week’s Guilty Pleasure!
Prezzies in the P.O. Box! Christina receives a treasure trove of magazines from Michael in Pennsylvania. She’ll be reading her new classic Doctor Who magazines, X-Files (she does the happy dance of joy about the movie) comics, Animag, and Starburst magazines. Thank you!! Gratitude abounds to Mark “Jayhawk”, for the custom dvd of “Voyage of The Damned”. You guys rock the Tardis!
These couch potatoes have been sliced and fried this week! Brad and Christina have watched the pilot of Sarah Connor Chronicles, but Glenn’s boycotting Fox. They both love Flash Gordon, but differ on their affection for Stargate Atlantis. Jayhawk created a monster, so the couple are hooked on Primeval, and welcome the first episode of series two. Nothing tops the season premiere of Torchwood this week. James Marsters plays the slimy, swaggering “big bad” we missed so much. Christina has pre-ordered the first series, and has a mini-rant about Amazon and Borders. She’s hooked on PBS, and mourns not being able to stay up to watch the Craig Ferguson show. Ashlee’s been watching Ghost Hunters International, and misses Jason and Grant. Christina suggests “Ghost Adventures”. Glenn’s bought Superman Returns on HD, Dragon Wars, War, The Darkman Trilogy, and Skinwalkers. Christina watched the first National Treasure before she sees the sequel. Ashlee’s bought Angry Video Game Nerd on dvd, and Ctrl+Alt+Del.
Geek Cuisine this week is Hershey NY Cheesecake Kisses.
In closing, tell us about how you felt about Cloverfield? What movies have you seen? Anything on dvd we should know about?
Promos come graciously from Slice of SciFi, the A.D.D. Cast, and Mike’s Hot Dish. Thank so much to musical guest Tom Smith for “Insert Geek Cliche Here”

The bulb in Glenn’s hella-huge tv went out, Ashlee’s bought the first season of Stargate SG-1, and playing Call Of Duty 4 or Halo 3. Brad talks about Bioshock, and Glenn’s getting back into Mass Effect. Christina finally has a game! She’s living out her director fantasy in “The Movies” for the PC. Brad’s happy to have released his first episode of The GeekSpin, and we entreat our listeners to suggest their favorite pod-safe geek music.
Brad and Christina review the performance of “The Phantom of the Opera”, and she’s still wanting to see Sweeney Todd.
Everyone talks about Cloverfield. (For those keeping track who don’t want to be spoiled, skip from the 18 minute mark to the 30 minute mark) We talk about the previews for Iron Man, Hellboy II:The Golden Army, Jumper, and Star Trek. Brad regales us how Christina tortured him with fancy salad.
We geek and we tell! Glenn’s got his new Illidan Stormrage WoW action figure, we talk about Viewmasters, and the movie Five Deadly Venoms. Brad and Christina go on a hunt for printer ink and end up coming home with a 500GB external hard drive, a memory card for Christina’s phone, two Torchwood books, and the Heroes novel, Saving Charlie. Brad talks about swapping one of his games for Beautiful Katamari for the XBox 360, the greatness of Browncoats. and Star Wars: Allegiance by Timothy Zahn. We’ve also picked up a future Guilty Pleasure in the form of “The Adventures of Young Van Helsing” on dvd Ashlee tells us about the webcomics she’s reading, including “Ctrl+Alt+Del” and “Geebas on Parade”. She shows off her swanky Kotobukiya Master Chief, and awaits her Companion Cube.
We drown our sorrows in chocolate and coffee with Twix Java for this week’s Geek Cuisine.

We hope one of your New Year’s resolutions includes gobs of guilt! Glenn opens this episode with “Hatchet” as his Guilty Pleasure! When a movie makes Glenn go “Ewww!”, you know it’s gotta be gross! Christina challenges Glenn with Blood Feast, a Guilty Pleasure she was forced to watch in high school.
Glenn’s happy about Dragon Wars coming to dvd, and we talk about blatant product promotion in movies. He’s looking forward to Sunshine on dvd (not to be confused with the Ralph Fiennes film, “Sunshine”). The three are excited by Cloverfield, and speculate about the movie title. Glenn’s picked up the first two in The Mummy series on HD and anticipates the new sequel. He’s also picked up Jet Li’s War and Stardust. Brad and Christina have watched Smallville, and are looking forward to the return of James Marsters. Christina’s suffering from post-anesthesia amnesia, and is giddy about the return of The Phantom of The Opera. She geeks for a bit, and Glenn (and his dad) anticipate 3:10 To Yuma.
Geek Cuisine eeks out another last drop of Christmas with Candy Cane Hershey Kisses.
Thanks to FarPoint Recap for their promo, The Signal for their Sci-Fi Review on the Star Wars Trilogy and Firefly, Tee Morris for Morevi: Remastered, and to Scott Rose for his song, “The Caulk Sucker”.

Allen Danziger introduces this week’s episode of PodCulture!
Brad bids a fond farewell to the office tv, and embraces his new shelves and fridge filled with Red Bull and Gamefuel! Glenn’s been to the movies, and gives his review of National Treasure: Book of Secrets, which brings about talk on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. On dvd, he’s watched AVPR: Aliens vs Predator-Requiem. Brad and Christina have had The Shoppening, coming away with a pair each of red “Doctor” Chuck Taylors, and Christina admits her Bath & Body Works addiction.
In TV & DVD talk, Glenn’s watched Bladerunner and appreciates the changes and tweaks to the HD version. Brad and Christina give their review of Stargate: The Ark of Truth, and talk about the way SG-1 ended. Christina got Brad “A Dog’s Breakfast” for Christmas, and it’s fantastic. They’ve been watching the usual suspects of Babylon 5, Smallville, and Flash Gordon. Glenn’s watched Black Rain, Shoot ‘Em Up, and Resident Evil: Extinction, which spawns discussion about the survival horror genre.
Geek Cuisine finds us with Peppermint Crunch Junior Mints, a discussion about chiggers, and Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles. (Can you say it three times fast?). We talk about Fox, Ron Paul, reality shows, and warn against leaving Junior Mints in your purse.
We laud our Christmas goodies! Christina got her Gir tote bag, the big box of crayons from Brad. The pair have added to their Webkinz collection. Christina got Brad a kult of koalas, and many thanks to Scott and Lindsey (from Two Geeks a Mic and a Podcast) for sending a giant koala to the PodCulture Studio. Glenn got a couple of video games, and WoW gold for Christmas. Brad got the VeggieTales nativity set and a Justice League PS2 controller from Christina’s parents. We talk about pets and stuffed animals. Does your dog have plush toys? Is your cat jealous of your teddy? Brad picked up a Spawn figure and a bluetooth ear piece for his phone. He got Marvel Zombies in hardcover and Sword of the Atom in trade paperback in his weekly comic run. Glenn tries to make his computer go to eleven, but finds out about the memory patch conundrum.
