After an open from the gracious Ron Glass, we are back for more PodCulture!
Andy sits in for Glenn this week, and Christina is back! They all look forward to the night’s screening of Serenity in a local indie theater. Andy’s been listening to podcasts while he’s working hard, expanding young minds in the classroom. Adam is burning vacation time, anticipating Halo Reach, and constructing his Halo helmet. While he’s fabricating, he’s been watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Warehouse 13 and Fringe (much to Christina’s glee). Christina had a wonderful time with her family on vacation, seeing Phantom of the Opera again…for the 19th time and celebrating her dad’s birthday. She and Miranda watched copious amounts of Spongebob and iCarly, and Christina has been sucked into the Silly Band phenomenon. Brad is preparing for Dragon Con and wishes to send out a huge thank you to Gary in Jacksonville for helping sort out the car. He is also getting geared up for a new podcast called The EurekaVerse podcast, planning to record episode zero at Dragon Con! Stay tuned for more!
Adam celebrates getting his Invisalign complete, and shows off his shiny new well-earned present to himself. From a family of shutterbugs, he shows off his Cannon Rebel T1I. The guys discuss advances in photographic technology. Jason has leant Adam his demo unit of the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S (being released on August 31) phone to try and show off. He does a side by side comparison between the Galaxy S and his HTC Evo, and is impressed by the screen quality of the Galaxy. Christina loves the size and shape and Brad recognizes the tough choice it would have been, had it been out earlier. Christina tells about her friend’s HTC Aria and the ease of track ball. Far less technical, but still cool, Christina talks about the newest addition to her Phantom of the Opera collection. She’s acquired the Japanese and Swedish cast recordings, and she regales them with the her story of front row seats. Brad talks of his Augen Tablet hacking and cracking, and adds four more Blackest Night Black Lantern figures to his collection.
Twizzlers Filled Twists are the Cuisine de Geek this week! Are they filled with perfect or with Pledge? Find out if it makes Andy’s face implode.
Special thanks to The Signal for their promo, The Bedlam Bards for “Theme Song Parody, and to the lovely Marian Call for her song, “It Was Good For You, Too”.

Welcome back, Geeklings!
Christina opens this week with excitement over both the new TV shows
she is watching and the fact that she hasn’t taken hostages over her diet. Glenn is 98% finished with Red Dead Redemption, but is looking forward to what remains…with zombies. Adam regales the ill-fated maiden launch of his model rocket, the tree that ate it, and the hip he injured finding it. Brad teases us with the new games and toys he has bought, and shares the booty he found at the comic shop.
Game on! Aside from a bit of Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2, Glenn has spent most of his time with Red Dead Redemption. He has found a moment to download Blacklight (aka Darklight) Tango Down on XBox Live, and the guys discuss the merits of downloadable games. Brad and Adam talk about the expansion packs for Red Dead Redemption. Glenn is still waiting to play his copy of Alan Wake. When Adam isn’t playing Red Dead, he is playing Geometry Wars 2, and watching his roommate play Transformers: War for Cybertron. Christina shares the frightening resemblance of her Sims 3 characters to her real life apartment. Brad weaves his adventure of getting Blur for the PS3 and Glenn follows in his tail lights. Brad has downloaded Risk Factions and Puzzle Quest 2 on XBox Live. Finally, prepare the picnic, because he bought the guilty pleasure Naughty Bear for the 360! There is fluffy carnage all around!
We’re sweet and squishy, just like this week’s Geek Cuisine! Glenn brings us the puffy, pastel Marshmallow Pole. The innuendo flies, the candy is floppy, Adam almost kills Brad, but we managed to all agree this week!
Thanks so very much for our promos from The Being Human Cast and Tuning Into Sci-Fi TV!

He has also picked back up with Primeval, but doesn’t quite know what to make of the cast changes. Christina has hopped back into Greg The Bunny, cried like a baby at the Glee finale. She is glad that True Blood has returned, but Adam was underwhelmed with the season premiere. Christina and Brad powered through Flash Forward, and both were almost as dazzled by the cast as they were by the frighteningly creepy premise. Brad finally watched Lie To Me with Christina, and to her detriment, it was a weak episode. Adam found the series Burn Notice, and is really enjoying everything about it so far. They quartet discuss Bruce Campbell, and she is the lone voice of dislike. Glenn has picked up Shutter Island, but was less than impressed. He enjoyed The Road with Viggo Mortensen. Brad is looking forward to The Walking Dead series. Christina watched the USA vs England in The World Cup, and the gang discusses the future of The Beautiful Game.
Adam returns with this Cuisine of Weirdness, as he shares edible wild hibiscus flowers, which he also found at ThinkGeek.com. Find out who liked it, who was freaked out and who chucked it into their napkin.
It is your turn, listeners! Find something weird or wonderful, share it with your friends and call our voicemail line!
In closing Brad indulges in a little sparkly vampire bashing, Glenn comes up with a great episode title and hopes to finish Red Dead Redemption so that he can start Alan Wake. Christina is so excited to hear that David Tennant will be playing Peter Vincent (Fearless Vampire Killer) in the reboot of Fright Night. Not as excited, though, as she and Brad are to see the season finale of Doctor Who.
